My Aunt Tracy is arguably the most talented, artistic person I know. She can craft anything. She paints, sculpts, sews, you name it she can do it. Last year she began a huge project painting a mural in the children’s area at the Tuolumne County Library in Sonora. If you haven’t had a chance to see it you should definitely make a trip. I could spend hours looking at all the details she has incorporated into it.
The mural is called “Nature’s Wonder by Day and Night”. She included all the indigenous plants and animals from the foothills to the Sierras. It really is breath-taking. The mural covers the entire back wall, and a banner goes around the remaining space in the children’s center specifiying different plants, animals and insects in the mural. Below are some photos but trust me, you want to see this in person.
